ASSIST / RTD Goals

1. Review literature around practices in North America, Australia and Britain to explore how Resource Teachers of the Deaf work with DHH populations in the Mainstream
2. To consider and discuss how we might merge our practice
3. Complete a diagrammatic form of a merge

1. two day ASSIST meetings in Tauranga - terms 1, 2 and 3

Outcomes:

1. This goal was not completed in the timeframe due to unforeseen workload that took priority (plus term three/four staffing issues). Two papers were selected but reading did not happen. I would expect this goal to roll over into the 2018 period. 
2. Meeting discussions took place, including an in depth session in term three which involved putting together a 'suggested path of action' which included steps and a final chart demonstrating how we see the future of the ASSIST program continuing.
