ORS writing Workshop

I had the opportunity to attend a workshop where I was able to look deeper into an application for ORS on an ASSIST student. I was aware that my lack of knowledge was blocking any further assistance I could provide the school in question but by the end of the session I had several answers and a clear path forward.

Key relevant notes from the session:

• Averaging of audiological key scores needs to be 40 dB but lesser averages will be considered on an individual basis. 
• The criteria of 6 is extremely difficult to meet whereas 9 is much better suited for this student. 
• The report does not have to be completely re-written, just resubmitted with a cover letter explaining the various changes needing considering.
