Destiny has been slightly reluctant to reread and modify her writing and as such I was looking at different ways to boost her motivation. She is very keen to work with technology so we started her e-Workbook using the 'iBook' application. As a result we have a planning session using both oral discussion and pen and paper to plan out the material.
Destiny then uses the iPad to type up a draft. Re-reading, she is able to quickly spot her errors and where her writing does not make grammatical sense. Editing is then a simple and non-messy process. The final product is added to her e-book which can be emailed to both teacher and parents as a celebration of her learning at the end of the term.
